African Community in Surrey & Sussex - Growing Health Together

We are delighted to be supporting the fantastic community group, ‘Africa Community in Surrey and Sussex’ (ACISS)

We have supported a number of events they have hosted since September, including:

A book club launch event in Horley, celebrating African authors, coinciding with Black History Month
A drumming & African-storytelling workshop for children and adults of all ages
A Christmas celebratory event offering an opportunity to share food, make music and dance with a wide cross-section of our local community

ACISS was founded by local resident Bola Odunuga to help members of the African diaspora to thrive in the U.K, and integrate with the local community. The group has swelled in size since its inception and will soon be hosting an event to support access to the wider determinants of health for all.
