We are working with a diverse group of individuals and organisations in and around Horley to improve access to conditions for health and wellbeing in the area. The Asian women’s wellness hub is continuing to flourish and operates on a fortnightly basis from the Surrey Choices building in Redhill.

Growing Health lead for Merstham, Dr Tabassum Siddiqui, has been working alongside partners including Surrey Heartlands’ Health and Wellbeing board and Active Surrey to support improved facilities for Merstham Recreation ground.
A listening event on Nailsworth Crescent estate in Merstham, which is recognised to be an area of marked health inequity, in the highest priority area for health inequalities across Surrey Heartlands.
GP Uzma Aziz, GHT lead for Redhill Phoenix has been meeting with stakeholders and members of the community to explore offering a variety of talks and awareness raising on a variety of topics which affect our community.
Collaborating with a wide range of local community members to organise outreach diabetes screening and health checks for those at increased risk.
Working together with parents and school children at local secondary school to design and redecorate wellbeing rooms in school-funded by PTA.
A Wellbeing Advisor has been introduced to the local Ukrainian response coordinator with a view to setting up a group Stress Management course for Ukrainian guests due to identified need.
Recognising a need in Caterham Dr Richard Wright, GHT lead for North Tandridge is exploring a project with a local bike shop owner to train volunteers to carry out basic bike repairs.
