Growing Health lead for Merstham, Dr Tabassum Siddiqui, has been working alongside partners including Surrey Heartlands’ Health and Wellbeing board and Active Surrey to support improved facilities for Merstham Recreation ground, including looking at opportunities to open a schools facilities fund for local schools like Merstham Park and Furzefield.
Active Surrey have visited Merstham Hub and offered activity monitors as well as support for young people within their exercise/activity. This will provide health improvement opportunities and build on effective work done in other parts of Surrey, such as Football Friday.
